and Material Supplies and Fees
Peters Valley supplies
certain materials and consumables for each workshop. In addition, students are
sent a materials list for their workshop and must bring all of the equipment
materials and tools specified in the list. Students are encouraged to bring
their own favorite, personal hand tools as appropriate to the workshop as well
as their own personal safety gear including ear protection, gloves, safety
glasses, face shields (when required) and dust masks. Students should be aware
that the availability of specialized materials and tools and equipment is
extremely limited in the rural area around Peters Valley.
Peters Valley sets estimated material and studio fees based on supplies
requested by the instructor and prices in effect at the time the workshop
schedule is established. In a small number of cases, when the price of a
material has risen dramatically, material fees will be increased to cover
increased costs. Students will be notified of any increased material fee when
they are sent their material list for the workshop. Students who use more than
the allotted amount of materials will be charged for any overage.
& Cancellation Policy
Except for a $50 cancellation fee and the $30 registration fee, all fees are
refundable if notice is given 30 days prior to start of workshop. No refunds will be made after that date. No
refunds will be given if a student withdraws after a workshop begins. Peters
Valley School of Craft reserves the right to cancel a workshop due to low
enrollment or an emergency. If a cancellation should occur, students will be
notified and will have the option of taking another course or receiving a full
